Shadow Dance has set the precedent within the DJ entertainment industry; by being the first and foremost DJ agency to classify there DJ’s according to their level of skill, experience and overall professionalism. All DJ’s employed by Shadow Dance are classified accordingly based on where they have performed, how many years, there previous clientele and there overall demeanor and presentation. Based on these fundamentals, Shadow Dance has effectively ‘raised the bar’ as to the professionalism of DJ’s available within the industry. We pride ourselves on this attribute of having only the most professional and highest quality DJ’s available.
Level 1 DJ’s
These DJ’s have the most experience and are well respected within the industry having built up an extensive reputation based on skill, presentation and performance. The majority of these DJ’s have well over 15 years experience each. Level 1 DJ’s are also professional MC’s having the ability to host a party or event whilst also entertaining and interacting with the crowd. These DJ’s can use both turntables and CD players to mix music. Level 1 DJ’s are available at $120.00 per hour, ($600.00 for a five hour performance) and are the only DJ’s used for all Shadow Dance weddings. Level 1 DJ’s are also used for engagements, corporate events and many milestone birthdays. The demand for these DJ’s is high, so availability is limited.
Level 2 DJ’s
These DJ’s are well experienced DJ’s who are fantastic for all general events including, birthdays, house parties, engagements, baptisms, high school events, and Christmas parties. These DJ’s have a high level of microphone competency and confidence, having the ability to generate interaction effectively within a crowd. The majority of these DJ’s have between 5 and 12 years experience, with Level 2 DJ’s using either turntables or CD players. Many of these DJ’s also work at various venues throughout Melbourne, playing to large audiences, where there skills are constantly put to the test. These DJ’s are available at $90.00 per hour ($450.00 for five hour performance).
Level 3 DJ’s
Level 3 DJ’s are DJ’s who have been performing for less then 5 years and are still gaining experience at ‘reading the crowd’. Confident at the decks, Level 3 DJ’s are predominately used for children’s events including Karaoke, Primary School dances, along with birthdays including 16th’s, 18th’s and 21st . These DJ’s have a standard level of competency in regards to public speaking with the microphone and can use either CD players or Turntables. These DJ’s are available at $80.00 per hour ($400.00 for five hour performance).
Level 4 DJ’s
The newest DJ on the block, Level 4 DJ’s are fresh out from the Shadow Dance DJ School. These DJ’s are only used for children discos including accompanying Level 3 DJ’s to primary school dances. Whilst these DJ’s have put in the practice, there ability to ‘read a crowd’ and speak with confidence on a microphone is still improving. Competent at using both CD players and Turntables.
