Perfecting The Art Of DJ'ing
The Shadow Dance DJ School is Melbourne's premier DJ school offering 3 courses in the Art of DJing, with 2 more about to be offered. Since opening in late July 2004, Shadow Dance has had 40 graduates from the Shadow Dance DJ School.

School History and Establishment
The Shadow Dance DJ School is owned and operated by DJ Shadow himself (Mark O'Donnell). All courses have been researched and written to effectively teach new students the 'Art of DJing' effectively.

Marks course is recognised by several local councils including Glen Eira City Council, along with several prominent schools in the Kingston/Bayside area including Mentone Boys Grammar.

Mark with nearly 20 years experience as a DJ and an entrepreneurial businessman, teaches the practical lessons to all students, along with providing the much needed knowledge and wisdom into becoming a professional DJ. Shadow Dance is effectively 'raising the bar' within the DJ industry.

Course Details
Each course offered by The Shadow Dance DJ School runs one night a week for 6 weeks. Students are also entitled to unlimited practice sessions within the studio at all other times, for this 6 week duration.

Upon graduation, students are provided with work experience with Mark and other professional DJ's employed by Shadow Dance. This work experience may vary from private functions, to corporate, club or nightclubs. Once all students have completed work experience and feel comfortable to undertake a live gig themselves, they are then offered paid work as a DJ with Shadow Dance. No student leaves this school without the continuous guidance and encouragement from DJ Shadow. All students upon graduation receive not only a framed certificate but also a 'Record of Achievement' along with a 'Recommendation Letter'.

There are only 4 students per class, each with there own console.
